Carolina Commercial was a proud sponsor of the Triangle Business Journal’s Corridors of Opportunity event at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center in Sanford last week. This event focused on the business and residential growth in both Lee and Harnett Counties. Topics of discussion included population growth, housing opportunities and challenges, factors that influenced the successful economic development in the region, and future scenarios.

Over 250 people attended this event, eager to know more about the “secret sauce” that seems to be working so well to draw businesses like Abzena and Bharat Forge to Lee County. Panelists included Kirk Bradley, President & CEO, Lee-Moore Capital Company; Mike Cline, State Demographer of North Carolina; Kelley Dubois, Owner, Adcock Real Estate Services; Courtney Mapson, Director of People Experience, Pfizer;Jimmy Randolph, CEO, Sanford Area Growth Alliance

All rockstars in their respective roles, they each brought a different perspective to the past, present and future of these two counties. All agreed that we are in an unprecedented period of growth, that growth must be properly managed, and that the future looks very bright.

CCC Managing Member Carter Keller, a past Vice Chair of the Sanford Area Growth Alliance, said the event was “a very good use of time for anyone involved in economic development, business or real estate in the Lee and Harnett region.
