CCC partners with Department of Defense Warrior Care Program

Carolina Commercial Contractors was proud to participate in the USSOCOM Warrior Care Program – Care Coalition (WCP-CC) with Zachariah Ashton. This is a Congressionally recognized Department of Defense Warrior Care Program, providing non-medical advocacy and assistance to wounded, ill, and injured Special Operations Forces (SOF) service members and their families. It functions as a transition from active duty to civilian life, and the soldier remains under the supervision of his/her Commanding Officer but works for a civilian company. After 5 years as a Project Manger in Special Ops, and serving 11 years in the Army, Zach is moving forward to a new chapter.

Through this program, Service Members can gain hands on work experience and mentorship through an internship with a civilian company. The fellow learns a new skill or trade, may bridge gaps in their resume, may possibly obtain certifications, and in many cases gains post-service employment. Over 500 Service Members have participated in a USSOCOM WCP-CC fellowship in a variety of industries in both small and large business.

Zach completed the program with CCC and accepted a job offer from ARCO in Florida. Our CCC experience with Zach as our intern was mutually beneficial and we wish him much success in his next role as Project Manager working for ARCO!
