New Bern, NC – Developer and General Contractor Carolina Commercial Contractors (CCC) has broken ground on a new 114,000 square-foot senior living community on Waterscape Way in Carolina Colours. The Viridian, a design and build project by CCC out of Sanford, NC, for ALG out of Hickory, NC will offer 48 assisted living beds as well as 83 independent living apartments. The project will bring new jobs to the area as well as an excellent living option for area senior citizens.

The Viridian will feature an open and airy lobby, a large dining area, fitness centers, activity rooms, lounge spaces, a theater and bistro, outdoor activity spaces, senior apartments, private and semi-private assisted living rooms, and a family parlor. The independent living units each include an additional living space, and 12 will offer a second bedroom. Photo above shows the Independent Living portion of the project.
